About the Program
What Is ICRCP?
Inner-City Radio-Controlled with Police is designed to foster stronger relationships between Police Officers and the children in the neighborhoods they serve — promoting open communication, mentoring, discipline, team building, and competitive racing.
Officers remain consistent throughout the 9-week program to establish and maintain personal connections with youth — building trust that extends beyond the track.
🔬
STEM/STEAM Learning
Participants learn to calculate travel, speed, distance, time, gravity, and weight. Reverse-engineering trucks teaches electronics, mechanical systems, and applied mathematics.
🏎️
Competitive Racing
Side-by-side bracket track racing where youth compete for accumulated points. Vehicles are painted to replicate the top 10–20 Monster Jam trucks on the circuit.
The Curriculum
The Training & Racing Experience
A 9-week course hosted throughout the year. 15–30 participants at any given time, with Police Officers as active team members every week.
📐 Physics & Math in Action
Youth calculate speed, distance, gravity, and weight in real time — turning the track into a classroom where the lessons are impossible to forget.
🔧 Reverse Engineering
Participants drive, repair, and train with technologically advanced RC trucks. Teams are responsible for maintaining and repairing their assigned vehicles.
🏆 Bracket Racing
Each racing event features youth drivers competing head-to-head. Driver skill, technique, and course-adjustment ability determine the outcome — not luck.
🎨 Truck Sponsorship & Art
RC trucks are painted to replicate real Monster Jam vehicles. Youth learn about each truck's history and the professional drivers behind them.
🎟️ Monster Jam Field Trip
All participants are taken annually to see the actual Monster Trucks race live — connecting their classroom experience to the real world.
👮 Police as Teammates
Officers are not observers — they are active team members. The same officer stays with the same team for all 9 weeks, building real relationships.
What Participants Gain
A Complete Learning Experience
ICRCP was designed to address the whole person — not just the student on the track.

About the Cobra Back Foundation
Founded to fill voids. Built to build bridges. Committed to community.
Who We Are
Our Story
The Cobra Back Foundation (CBF) was founded to fill voids within communities by creating opportunities for growth,
connection, education, and empowerment. Founded by E. Dixon, a dedicated civil servant in the City of Chicago since
2001, CBF is built on a lifelong commitment to serving residents, strengthening neighborhoods, and uplifting
communities through meaningful engagement.
Today, CBF expands that commitment through innovative programming such as the Inner-City RCP initiative —
which uses competitive STEM RC racing to build relationships between youth, police, and the community —
while also offering enlightenment and awareness courses designed to equip individuals and families with
practical life skills. Through education in financial literacy, de-escalation, home buying, scam and
phishing awareness, and credit building, CBF works to create informed, confident, and connected communities.
CBF remains focused on promoting community values, personal development, unity, safer neighborhoods, and
stronger partnerships between law enforcement and the communities they serve.
🎯
Our Mission
The Cobra Back Foundation exists to build bridges and fill voids by delivering transformative programs
and educational opportunities that empower youth, families, and communities through STEM, life skills,
awareness, and unity.
🔭
Our Vision
We envision a future where communities are stronger, safer, and more connected — where education,
opportunity, and partnership create lasting impact from Englewood to neighborhoods across the city
and beyond.
What We Offer

Every CBF program is built around one goal: equipping people with the tools they need to thrive.
